Michael is a Canadian video game composer working out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He began writing music for games and short film in 2017, where he started by making short soundtracks for local game jams.

 

Working primarily on intimate piano and string pieces, he has ventured so far as to work on a banana dating simulator (Appealing Personality, 2018)! Michael’s music was used in the audiobook ‘The Pyre’ written by Peter G. Andresen, where the introduction to his song ‘The Forge’ (2020) sets a somber and ominous tone.

 

Michael draws inspiration from many sources, such as John Williams and Yoko Shimomura, as well as his favourite soundtrack ‘Shadow of The Colossus’.
